Value-orientated retailer B&M has appointed Hounaïda Lasry as a Non-Executive Director, with effect from 22 September, when she will also join its Remuneration and Nomination Committees.
She is currently a Non-Executive Director at Britvic but has almost 30 years’ experience of working at Procter & Gamble across various sectors (Skin & Personal Care, Pet Food, Sanitary Pads, Diapers and Detergents) and geographies (Europe, Middle East, Africa and Asia). In her final role as Senior VP Skin & Personal Care Europe, she had responsibility for a portfolio of five brands across the region, before leaving the consumer goods giant in July 2021.
Peter Bamford, B&M’s Chairman, said: “I am delighted that Hounaïda has agreed to join the Board of B&M. She brings strong commercial international, and strategic instincts and the benefits of experience gained in a wide variety of challenging operational roles within the highly structured and developed consumer facing disciplines of Procter and Gamble. Hounaïda will enhance the diversity of experience and skills on our Board considerably.”
B&M recently posted robust annual results as cash-strapped shoppers turned to value-oriented retailers to help manage their budgets.
