An iconic department store is holding a ‘Rachel Reeves closing down sale’ as it closes its last outlet.

Large yellow posters with the Chancellor holding her red Budget box have been splashed all over the windows of the Beales store in Poole, Dorset.

The firm’s boss Tony Brown paid for the signs as a ‘poke in the ribs to the government’ having blamed Mrs Reeves’ Budget for killing off the family business after 144 years of trading.
