Wilko has revealed that it plans to open another new store as part of the rebuilding of the estate by its new owner, CDS Superstores.
The household and garden retailer will open the doors to its next store in Poole, Dorset, on 16 August.
The 23.5k sq. ft. store, situated in the Dolphin Centre, will offer Wilko own-label products, alongside various leading brands. It will also feature an Iceland frozen food concession as part of a partnership announced in May.
Shoppers will also be able to order from 100,000 items available via Wilko’s website using self-service terminals for home delivery.
The Poole site will be the brand’s sixth concept store, adding to outlets in Rotherham, St Albans, Exeter, Luton, and Plymouth.
At the end of last year, Chris Dawson, the billionaire businessman who owns CDS Superstores, revealed that it plans to open between 30 and 40 Wilko stores in 2024. “Then it’ll be the same, if not more, the following years till we fill the place up,” he added.
