Wyevale Disposes Of Another 6 Garden Centres

Wyevale has agreed the sale of another six of its gardening centres as part of its recent strategy to trim down its store portfolio amid moves by its private equity owner Terra Firma to offload the business.

Four centres in Cheddar, Dorking, Marlow, and Lechlade are being sold to Hillier Nurseries, whilst the other two at Jack’s Patch and Taunton have been bought by Otter Nurseries.

Since the launch of the sale process in May last year, Wyevale has sold over 50 sites which it says has “transformed our financial position”.

After the latest sale, Wyevale Chief Operating officer Anthony Jones said: “We continue to evaluate a wide range of options as part of our ongoing sale process”.
