Boots has doubled the number of its stores offering on-demand delivery via Deliveroo and Uber Eats to almost 500.
Shoppers across the UK can now choose from over 10,000 health & beauty products to be delivered in as little as 30 minutes. The retailer noted that “huge demand” had spurred the rollout of the service.
“Our customers love the convenience of being able to order their health and beauty items to their homes, on the go and when they’re in urgent need,” said Paula Bobbett, Chief Data and Digital Officer at Boots.
“Its popularity reflects how customers expect modern retailers to support their busy lifestyles, so we’re looking forward to helping make health and beauty more accessible to more of our customers across the UK. Whether it’s relief for cold and flu symptoms, medicine for a poorly child, lunch in the office or last-minute gifts, Boots will be there for you, delivered in minutes.”
Boots revealed that the best-selling items for instant delivery include:
- Pregnancy tests from Clearblue and Boots Brand
- Baby essentials, such as biodegradable wipes
- Acne support, including the Hero Mighty Patch Duo
- Upset stomach relief from Pepto Bismol
- Thrush treatment such as Canesten Thrush Combi
- Cold and flu, including Lemsip Max and Covid-19 testing kits
- Hay fever relief from Allevia
- Stop smoking support like Nicorette Quickmist
In addition to rolling out on-demand delivery nationwide, Boots is continuing to offer extended on-demand delivery until midnight in 10 stores across London, with more locations to follow across the UK in the coming months.
Last month, Boots revealed that it is now operating as a private standalone company after Sycamore Partners completed its $10bn acquisition of the UK retailer’s parent company, Walgreens Boots Alliance (WBA).
