Boots is helping the UK government to roll out coronavirus testing facilities for NHS staff.
Locations are currently being decided and will be spread across the UK. However, the testing will not happen in Boots stores.
Trials have already been taking place on the group’s headquarters site in Nottingham.
Seb James, Managing Director of Boots UK and ROI, said the company is working with the NHS to recruit trained professionals from both the Boots workforce and wider community.
He added: “I am extremely proud that Boots is supporting Covid-19 testing for NHS workers. Boots has been at the heart of UK healthcare for 171 years and has always come forward to support the community in times of need.
“I am sure there will be many trained healthcare clinicians and students, who will step forward to support our dedicated NHS colleagues.”
