AB InBev has changed its name in the UK to the Budweiser Brewing Group UK&I. It stated the move “reaffirms its commitment” to the territory with the use of a more recognisable name helping boost awareness of the business.
The company recently appointed Paula Lindenberg as its regional president. She joined the Budweiser Brewing Group UK&I in January from the group’s Ambev business in Brazil where she was the VP of Marketing.
Lindenberg is now based in the company’s recently opened new headquarters in Farringdon, London. This brings together three previously separate offices and 250 staff under one roof.
Alongside the name change announcement, the Budweiser Brewing Group also outlined its commitment to sustainability and championing Britain’s beer culture.
Lindenberg commented: “We are a fast-paced, ambitious group that dreams big, and we have exciting plans ahead for the UK and Ireland. Through the power and recognition of the Budweiser brand, we want to open ourselves up to working with more partners to achieve our ambitions.
“We are looking forward to making a big impact in the year ahead, working towards brewing our beers with 100% renewable electricity and accelerating our progress towards 20% of our global products being no or low alcohol.”
