British makers of sausages, pies and minced beef are facing a potentially crippling hit to their trade with Europe because of EU rules requiring prepared meat products to be imported in frozen form, the industry has warned.

- Essentially this means that you can’t sell any manufactured meat products chilled into the EU.
- i.e. the industry needs to get all their plants EU approved…
- ..or else!
- Local producers will have to focus on EU approval and factories that supply the domestic market…
