British Tobacco Giants Burnt By US Plan To Cap The Amount Of Nicotine In Cigarettes

More than £6bn was wiped off the value of London’s two tobacco giants as investors panicked that the US could cap the amount of nicotine in cigarettes.

British American Tobacco (BAT) and Imperial Brands dropped after media reports said the Biden administration was mulling rules that remove so much nicotine that smoking is no longer addictive.
