Britvic’s Chief Marketing Officer, Matt Barwell, will leave the business at the end of June. He joined the soft drinks firm in 2014, having held a series of senior marketing roles at Diageo and Mars.
Britvic noted that during Barwell’s time with the business, he had improved the way the company builds brands, strengthened its marketing capability and in-housed its digital resource.
Barwell will be replaced by Cindy Tervoort, with effect from 1 July 2023. She is joining Britvic from Heineken, where she is currently MD for Beerwulf.com. Before that, she spent five years as a Board Member of Heineken UK, leading the marketing of all their 24 beer and cider brands, as well as the company’s digital transformation, consumer media, innovation, category, and trade marketing. She has also previously worked for Unilever and PepsiCo.
Britvic’s CEO, Simon Litherland, commented: “I am excited to welcome Cindy to Britvic at this time, as we continue to grow our reputation for world class brand building through marketing and innovation. I would also like to personally thank Matt for his contribution to the success of Britvic over almost a decade, and wish him well for the future.”
