Burts Snacks Hires Agency To Support Growth Plans

Burts Snacks has appointed Bray Leino, a Devon-based integrated communications agency specialising in food & drink, to support its growth plans.

The agency will be tasked with providing strategic brand communications and delivering the first major above the line campaign for the company in more than seven years for its range of Burts Hand Cooked Potato Chips.

Last year Burts appointed Dave McNulty, the former head of SHS’s Drinks Division and Vice President of Coca-Cola Enterprises, as its Managing Director. He replaced David Nairn, who had led the business for 14 years and grown its turnover from £1m a year to more than £60m.

The company stated that the appointment of Bray Leino marked the latest step in its drive to become the UK’s leading producer of premium snacking products.

McNulty said: “Since we launched in the late ‘90s, Burts has grown from a small-scale family operation serving local farmers’ markets to a nationally recognised brand. Nevertheless, we remain true to our roots; working with Bray Leino, a Devon-based agency with a global footprint, reflects both our grassroots culture and ambition, and we are excited to see where this new partnership takes us.”
