C&C Create New Role To Drive Turnaround Plan Amid Investor Pressure

Magners cider maker and drinks distributor C&C Group has announced that its CFO, Andrew Andrea, has taken on the newly created role of Chief Financial and Transformation Officer.

With significant industry experience, he joined C&C on 1 March 2024. In addition to his role as CFO, Andrea now will lead C&C’s ‘Transformation Programme’, which is focused on simplifying its operations and enhancing efficiencies across the business.

The move comes just weeks after an activist hedge fund called for C&C Group to be broken up or sold after becoming a “perennial underperformer” beset by structural problems.

This followed its Chief Executive Patrick McMahon stepping down after the discovery of accounting errors during the three financial years when he was the company’s CFO.
