Colgate-Palmolive has announced that Steve Cahillane, the Chief Executive of Kellogg’s, has been elected to the toothpaste maker’s board of directors.
Cahillane joined Kellogg’s as CEO in 2017 and also became Chairman of its Board in 2018. Prior to joining Kellogg’s, from 2014 to 2017, he served as CEO of The Nature’s Bounty, a manufacturer of health and wellness products. Cahillane also spent seven years with Coca-Cola, culminating as Executive VP of the company and President of Coca-Cola Americas.
Commenting on the new director election, Noel Wallace, Colgate’s Chairman, President and CEO, said: “We are delighted to welcome Steve to the Board and are pleased that he will contribute his outstanding experiences and capabilities as a CEO of global consumer products businesses to help Colgate continue to capture growth opportunities across all of our divisions and categories.”
