Diageo has launched new a new digital tool that uses artificial intelligence (AI) to guide people in discovering their favourite Single Malt Scotch.
‘What’s Your Whisky’ matches consumers with their perfect whisky by using AI, along with machine learning. It can be accessed via any mobile or internet-connected device.
Based around 11 questions, the digital tool will analyse people’s preferences for a variety of sweet, fruity, spicy and smoky flavours found in Single Malt whiskies to create their personal ‘Flavour Print’. It then recommends a Single Malt whose flavour profile most closely matches the individual’s taste.
Andy Parton, Senior Regional Manager at Diageo, said: “The ‘What’s Your Whisky’ mobile experience allows consumers to explore a wide range of our Single Malts in a personalised and completely new way. We’re excited to roll this out at scale and help many thousands of people find their perfect Whisky based on the innovative FlavorPrint AI technology.”
The drinks giant, which owns whisky brands such as Johnnie Walker, Buchanan’s, J&B, and Talisker, is launching the tool in nine European countries, including the UK.
