Euro Food Brands has acquired the ‘The Food Doctor’ brand from the William Jackson Food Group for an undisclosed sum.
Founded in 1999, The Food Doctor makes healthy snacks and bakery products such as pittas and wraps that are sold in leading supermarket chains. William Jackson Food acquired the business back in 2016.
Euro Food Brands is a leading distributor of speciality food and drink brands to the UK and Irish grocery trade. It already works with brands including Reese’s, Barilla, Campbell’s Soup, Ainsley Harriott and Voss. The company has an annual turnover of around £150m.
Peter Butler, Euro Food Brands’ Managing Director said: “We are excited about adding The Food Doctor brand and continuing its development in line with the brand ethos of ‘everyday foods with wholesome ingredients and a nutritious twist’. We are positive about developing and growing brands, despite the challenges of Covid-19 and Brexit.”
The company stated that it has plans to introduce a range of NPD in the Autumn.
