Stepping down with immediate effect, Nairn has helped the Devon-based independent snack firm expand into new sectors and grow from £1m sales per annum to more than £60m. The group stated that he will continue to provide support on the direction and strategy of the business as a Non-Executive Director and Company Secretary.

McNulty joins Burts Snacks following four years as MD of SHS’s Drinks Division. As well as the Coca-Cola role, he has also been Director ICC Europe at Kraft Foods. McNulty said: “I am excited about this new opportunity and the prospect of working with such a dedicated and ambitious team.

“David’s leadership, commitment and passion for the business has created a long-lasting legacy and I am very much looking forward to building on his achievements, taking the brand and its product offering into the next chapter.”

Nairn added: “I am proud of the extraordinary team and the incredible products we have developed, and I am excited for what the future holds under Dave’s stewardship.”
