Former Greencore Exec To Lead Valeo’s Operation In The UK

Valeo Foods, the Irish food manufacturer that owns brands such as Kettle, Barrett, and Rowse, has appointed Kevin Moore as its first UK Chief Executive, effective 5 June.

Moore joins Valeo Foods from convenience food maker Greencore, where he worked for 25 years in a variety of roles, most recently as deputy CEO.

In his new role, he will be responsible for driving the growth of Valeo Foods’ UK portfolio and “strengthening the overall organisation”.

Moore said: “I’m very excited to be joining Valeo Foods, and see huge opportunity to further developing an exciting UK business.”

Ronald Kers, incoming Group CEO, added: “I am thrilled that Valeo Foods has been able to attract a talent of the caliber of Kevin, and look forward to supporting his exciting plans for the future of the business and organisation in the UK.”

Wayne Hudson, who has been working with Valeo in the past few months to support the UK business, will hand over to Moore next month and then continue in an advisory capacity going forward.

Valeo Foods, which was acquired by private equity firm Bain Capital in 2021, has a portfolio that includes snacks, sweets, baking, meal ingredients, and beverages. Its revenues have increased five-fold and reached €1.2bn since the company was founded in 2010.
