Following the publication of results from its annual survey yesterday, the Groceries Code Adjudicator (GCA) has launched registration for its annual conference, which takes place on 1 October 2024.
The event brings together supplier representatives, designated retailers, and industry experts to reflect on changes to the grocery sector, ongoing challenges, support available for suppliers, and future priorities.
YouGov will also share the in-depth results from the 2024 survey at the conference, with Adjudicator Mark White discussing how he is responding.
This year’s survey revealed that fewer suppliers have been experiencing issues with the UK’s leading grocery retailers. However, less than half of respondents directly supplying Amazon believed it was complying with the Groceries Supply Code of Practice (the Code), with White warning that he would not hesitate in launching a formal investigation if necessary to ensure the online giant treats its suppliers fairly and lawfully.
NAM Implications:
- A multi-opportunity for all stakeholders (supplier representatives, designated retailers, and industry experts):
- To reflect on changes to the grocery sector, ongoing challenges, support available for suppliers, and future priorities
- YouGov sharing in-depth results from the 2024 survey
- Really focused networking
- Not to be missed…
