Kerry Consolidating Distribution Network

Irish food group Kerry has revealed that it is consolidating its distributor network across Europe. The company has chosen Azelis and Caldic as distribution partners for Kerry products to selected customers in the region.

The company stated that the appointment of the two experienced distributors will extend the reach of Kerry’s portfolio in the market, enabling the supply of more customers with its products and technologies.

Caldic will operate in South Europe, the UK, Ireland, the Nordics and Benelux, while Azelis will have responsibility for Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Eastern Europe, within the food, beverage and meat sectors.

Kerry will continue to operate direct sales across the region to its established and target customer base.

Thomas Hahlin Ahlinder, CEO Kerry Europe, commented: “Today’s announcement is an important step for our business in Europe, as our new partnerships with Caldic and Azelis will help improve the delivery of our core technologies across the region. We selected these partners due to their extensive experience, and we anticipate this partnership will provide increased access and additional choice to a larger number of customers”.

Laurent Pasqualini, CEO at Caldic Europe, added: “Kerry’s product range is the perfect addition to our food solutions portfolio for the Western European market. The increasing consumer interest in plant based and ‘better for you’ propositions require functional solutions in terms of taste, nutrition and look and feel. The partnership with Kerry provides an array of ingredients that enable us to formulate solutions to these functional challenges while leveraging our capabilities, thereby supporting our customers in their growth ambitions.”
