McBride Reports Solid FY Revenue Growth

McBride has reported a modest but solid rise in revenue for its last fiscal year, helped by a strong jump during the second half.

In a trading update, the cleaning products manufacturer noted that group revenue for the year ending 30 June 2022 rose by 2.9% in constant-currency terms. A 6.6% decline in the first half was redeemed by a 13.4% jump in the second half.

McBride added that net debt at year-end amounted to £168m, while it had liquidity of around £70m. The latter figure was significantly above the minimum liquidity requirement of £40m, as part of its financing arrangements.

The company noted that it was impacted by exceptional input cost inflation and supply chain disruptions during the year, which was made worse by the ongoing war in Ukraine. However, it offset this impact by pricing policy changes.

McBride will announce its complete year-end results on 29 September 2022.
