Swift is President Global Flavor Solutions, International-EMEA and Chief Administrative Officer (CAO), at spices and sauces manufacturer McCormick & Company.

He will hold the position at AIM for a two-year mandate, leading its Board and overseeing the strategic direction of the organisation.  He was already a long-serving Board member of AIM.

Swift commented: “I am honoured to become President of AIM, at a time when it is so important to promote and distinguish brands’ innovation, creativity and value creation. There are major changes afoot for brands, in a world marked by digital transformation and new technologies, growing consumer and societal expectations of our sustainability footprint, and increasingly diverse routes to market.

“With a new European Union mandate to navigate, I look forward to driving a positive, proactive agenda for brands over the coming years.”

AIM represents manufacturers of branded consumer goods in Europe on key issues which affect their ability to design, distribute and market their brands. Its mission is to “create for brands an environment of fair and vigorous competition, fostering innovation and guaranteeing maximum value to consumers now and for generations to come”.
