Owner Of Bebeto Confectionery Sees UK Sales Surge Up 50%

Bebeto confectionery brand owner Kervan Gida Group has seen sales in its UK business jump 50% year-on-year sales across all channels to £39m.

bebeto-confectioneryIt marks the firm’s ninth consecutive year of growth since its establishment in the UK in 2015, driven by expanded distribution, strategic collaborations with retailers in both private label and brand, and a pipeline of new product development.

Phil Hulme, Commercial Director of Kervan Gida UK, commented: “Since joining the company in 2021, our strategic focus has been on penetrating the major multiples. We are proud of the current growth that we are achieving and have ambitions to be supplying all top seven retailers over the next couple of years.”

Bebeto is the manufacturer’s fastest-growing brand, growing 39% year-on-year, with plans for sustained double-digit growth in the current fiscal year.

Hulme said: “As a challenger brand on the rise, our goal is to offer consumers an alternative to mainstream options. Our recent successes, including the exceptional performance of our all-year-round vegan offerings, NPD like 150g Ring Mix and Peach Hearts and innovative seasonal launches such as Halloween, underscore our commitment to delivering quality and innovation in the confectionery sector.”

Bebeto revealed that it is poised to introduce a range of new products this year, including a vegan gourmet confectionery range this summer, innovations in the popular sour confectionery sub-sector, and seasonal offerings for Halloween and the festive period. These will be backed by activation plans, including sampling, events, digital advertising, and social media.
