Perfetti Van Melle (PVM), the confectionery giant that owns brands such as Mentos, Fruittella, Smint, and Chupa Chups, has appointed Jonny Briscoe as its new UK Managing Director.

The group stated that he will oversee the company’s plans to accelerate growth across its portfolio with NPD and a £4m marketing spend throughout the year.
With over 14 years’ experience in the FMCG industry, Briscoe joined from Mondelēz where he was Managing Director for Northern Europe leading on the chilled business brands including Philadelphia and Dairylea. He had previously climbed the rank at the firm from Category Planning Leader to Sales Director.
Briscoe also held roles at Proctor & Gamble for nine years, from Account Manager rising to Commercial Director.
At PVM, he replaces Roel Nouws who is transferring to the company’s Dutch team, taking on the role of Global Lead for Sales and Trade Marketing.
Briscoe commented: “I’m delighted to be joining such a people-focused and innovative business. It’s no secret the last year has been a challenge to the categories in which we play, and I am looking forward to leading the UK business back to the consistent high levels of growth seen prior to 2020.”
