Pladis, the owner of brands including McVitie’s and Jacob’s, has announced that Asli Özen Turhan will be stepping into the role of Chief Marketing Officer UK&I, following Caroline Hipperson’s appointment as VP of Business Development for its global organisation.

Turhan will take over the CMO role in the UK & Ireland from 21 February 2022 having held the same position for pladis’ Turkey region. The group highlighted that she has extensive experience in various snacking categories, and over the last 18 years has played a key role working for the company’s masterbrand, Ülker, where she “transformed” the marketing organisation.
In her new position, Hipperson will report directly to the company’s CEO Salman Amin, tasked with driving new portfolio opportunities globally. She joined pladis in April 2020 and led the marketing agenda during the pandemic, orchestrating a number of new partnerships including McVitie’s role as lead sponsor of ITV’s Britain’s Got Talent.
