Beverage bottling giant Refresco has agreed a deal with Coca-Cola European Partners (CCEP) to acquire its manufacturing site in Milton Keynes. Included in the agreement are a lease contract of CCEP’s warehouse site in Northampton and contract manufacturing activities.
Refresco stated that the acquisition fitted its “buy & build strategy” and focus on expanding its operations in the UK.
Hans Roelofs, CEO Refresco Group, commented: “The UK is an important growth market for Refresco. With the Milton Keynes site we further strengthen our manufacturing footprint and ability to serve our customers locally. This acquisition also further strengthens our relationship with Coca-Cola European Partners, to whom we already provide contract manufacturing services in France, Germany and the Netherlands.”
The acquisition, for an undisclosed sum, is expected to be completed by the end of this year.
