Ricky Gervais’s Ellers Farm Distillery Makes Acquisition

Ellers Farm Distillery, the maker of Dutch Barn Vodka, which is co-owned by comedian Ricky Gervais, has acquired Bramley & Gage Limited, securing control of the 6 O’Clock Gin brand.

Dutch-Farm-6OClock-GinFinancial terms of the deal were not disclosed, but the Yorkshire-based distillery stated that it marks a major milestone in its drive to build a global portfolio of “distinctive, high-quality drinks”.

With plans to expand distribution and marketing efforts, Ellers Farm is aiming to elevate 6 O’Clock Gin’s presence in the competitive gin category. The company’s flagship London Dry is currently predominantly sold in the on-trade and via specialist retailers.

Gervais commented: “I love what we’re building at Ellers Farm. The ambition to take great British spirits to the world is one of the reasons I got involved. We’ve got Dutch Barn Vodka, Y-Gin, a single malt whisky on the way, and now 6 O’Clock. Which is a good time to start drinking. PM, that is.”

Chris Fraser, founder and CEO of Ellers Farm Distillery, added: “This is a big step in our long-term growth strategy. 6 O’Clock Gin is a respected premium gin brand, rooted in craft, character and connection.

“It aligns perfectly with our values, and we’re excited to bring fresh energy, investment and international reach to the brand, while staying true to the qualities that have made it so well loved.”
