Symington’s Wins Export Award

Meal and snack manufacturer Symington’s has won the Food Manufacture Award for Export for the second year running.

The Food Manufacture Excellence Awards, which took place online last week, honour businesses and individuals for major achievements, innovation and success. Three businesses were shortlisted in the Export category, with Symington’s taking home the top prize.

Symington’s, whose brands include Mug Shot, Naked and Twistd, was recognised for building on its US success. In the past year, Symington’s has added up to 26 listings for its Naked and Twistd brands across several US retailers, including Walmart and Meijer. The business has also continued to grow across Europe, The Middle East, Australia and Canada.

Neil Clarke, International Director at Symington’s, said: “We’re absolutely delighted to win the Food Manufacture Award for Export for the second year running. We’ve worked extremely hard throughout the last year to build on our success in the US, securing listings for our Naked and Twistd brand in several retailers. Growing the business overseas has been a real focus for us here at Symington’s and we’re proud to have made progress in Europe, The Middle East, Australia and Canada.

“Winning this award two years in a row is a fantastic achievement for us and we want to extend a special thanks to our hard working team who helped make this happen. It’s been an extremely challenging year for everyone and we’d also like to thank the Food Manufacture Excellence Awards for recognising the outstanding efforts across the industry.”
