Time Ticking For Suppliers Of The Top 13 Grocery Retailers To Complete The 2020 GCA Survey

March 29 is the deadline for making sure Christine Tacon, the Groceries Code Adjudicator, hears your views on any Code issues you are facing and whether the 13 regulated retailers are treating you fairly and lawfully.

This is the seventh survey carried out by the GCA and the information she receives has been crucial in her work to secure progress for suppliers since she was appointed in June 2013.  Suppliers can complete the survey at www.yougov.com/GCA.  For the first time, it includes Homes Bargains which was designated by the Competition and Markets Authority in September last year.

Christine explains why it is so important to complete the survey: “The annual survey is the best way for the GCA to understand what issues suppliers are experiencing with the retailers and it is a powerful indicator of the state of relations in the sector.  The retailers themselves use the results to help them pinpoint the issues they need to work on.”

NAM Implications:
  • • Given the Coronavirus-inspired turmoil of the past weeks, completing the survey could provide an opportunity to highlight any opportunistic moves by elements in the trade?
    • Truly a unique and one-off window to voice/re-voice your experience.
