Aldi Ireland Expands Offering On Deliveroo

Aldi Ireland has more than doubled the number of products available for home delivery through its partnership with Deliveroo as it continues its push into e-commerce.

Customers can now order from a selection of more than 330 grocery products through the on-demand delivery service and have them delivered in a little as 30 minutes.

Aldi initially offered around 140 essential items, including bread, milk and fresh produce, through the Deliveroo app. The service launched from two Dublin stores in June, but has since expanded to stores in three more counties, namely Cork, Galway and Meath.

Customers can now order a variety of everyday staple items such as fruit and veg, meat, eggs, rice, pasta and flour, as well as other food essentials and cleaning products.

Niall O’Connor, Aldi Group Managing Director, said: “Increasing the number of products available through the app will make it easier for people to get much-needed groceries delivered right to their doors quickly and safely. This is an exciting new venture for Aldi, and we look forward to continuing our strong partnership with Deliveroo into the future.”

Aldi also works with Deliveroo in the UK and has recently launched its own click & collect service.
