An additional 88 Asda stores will now be available on the Uber Eats app as the supermarket group continues to ramp up its rapid delivery options.
Asda now offers delivery in as little as 30 mins through Uber Eats across a total of 405 locations in the UK.
Meanwhile, a new development will see the supermarket group offering product bundles to make ordering easier for items that are regularly ordered together. Examples include ‘vegan stock up’, ‘breakfast fry up’, and ‘Build a Sandwich’ bundles.
Asda has also increased the selection of products available for speedy delivery to more than 1,800.
Simon Gregg, senior VPof e-commerce at Asda, said: “We’re seeing an increasing number of customers shopping for tonight as well as for tomorrow through the wide range of delivery options now available. Our partnership with Uber Eats means we’re able to offer rapid delivery in nearly 100 new locations, saving even more of our customers an extra trip.”
Alex Troughton, head of grocery and new verticals at Uber Eats UK, added: “Its brilliant to see one of the UK’s biggest supermarkets invest in delivery innovation through their new in-app bundles.”
Asda began rolling out its own ‘Express Delivery’ service towards the end of last year. And in March, the group linked up with on-demand delivery platform buymie to launch a new service where customers can communicate directly with a ‘personal shopper’ whilst in-store and get their weekly shop brought to them in as little as an hour.
