Asda is rolling out a service where customers can order dishes from its in-store cafés for delivery via a partnership with Just Eat.
The offer includes sandwiches, paninis, pizzas and sweet treats. The supermarket noted that its pizza meal deals cost a fraction of the price of some of the larger pizza delivery retailers.
Following a trial in 42 stores, a further 129 locations can now access the service.
The move is part of Asda’s strategy to increase its presence in the quick commerce market.
Commenting on the expansion, an Asda spokesperson said: “We welcome over 150,000 customers into our physical Asda Café’s each week and are really excited to be able to offer our customers the chance to have their favourite dishes delivered to their doors through this new partnership with Just Eat.
“This expansion with Just Eat helps to bolster our strategy to bring Asda value and quality to more communities across the UK by giving customers the ability to purchase their favourite Asda products whenever and however they like.”
