Iceland Foods, founded in 1970, has fought for years to trademark the name of the Nordic island. But the Icelandic government has claimed this would stop the country’s businesses from describing their products as Icelandic.
Now Iceland and Iceland Foods will fight it out once again after the chain appealed a 2019 European Union decision against it.
