Iceland has launched more than 500 new products as part of a major overhaul of its food offering.
The new range includes exclusive products from leading brands, including Cathedral City, TGI Fridays and Mars, plus additional Iceland own-label lines. They will be available in Iceland and The Food Warehouse stores, as well as its concessions in The Range.
New products include TGI Fridays’ new Tennessee Glaze Vegan Chicken Strips, Cathedral City Cheesy Hash Browns, Blue Dragon Pizza Sweet Chilli, Mars Galaxy Cookie Crumble Cheesecake, YO! Katsu Chicken Fillets, and Iceland’s BBQ Pulled Pork Quarter Pounder Meal Kit.
Many of the products will feature in Iceland’s Mix & Match Multibuy offers.
Andrew Staniland, Group Buying Director at Iceland Foods & The Food Warehouse, commented: “We’re always big on value and variety at Iceland. Our latest range of hundreds of new products, many of which shoppers simply won’t find anywhere else, is testament to our commitment to put money back in shoppers’ pockets when they need it most.
“The variety and value of our latest product launch is really something else, and one more way we’re showing our ongoing commitment to helping families across the UK eat well for less every day.”
In July, Iceland told bondholders that it was on track to deliver its highest profit in over a decade, thanks partly to its success in attracting cash-strapped shoppers. The retailer has rolled out several initiatives to boost its appeal during the cost of living crisis, including 1p sales, price freeze campaigns, discounts for people aged 60, and interest-free loans.
NAM Implications:
- If your brands/own-label can meet value and variety criteria…
- …why not try?
