Morrisons Launches Wholesale Data Programme For Suppliers

Morrisons is partnering with TWC Group to enhance the data insight capabilities of its wholesale business.

TWC Group’s SmartView reporting platform will go live in Morrisons later this year, providing additional insights into sales, customer behaviour and market trends. The data sources will then be expanded to include convenience retail EPoS data.

The launch of SmartView is part of Morrisons’ drive to grow its presence in the wholesale sector and follows the trial of an app that allows its wholesale and franchise partners to top up their orders in its supermarket and then be invoiced via their existing terms.

Paul Dobson, Sales Director – Franchise & Wholesale Supply at Morrisons, commented: “Elevating the level and quality of data we have access to will help us continue to improve the service we offer our wholesale and franchise partners. TWC Group’s expertise in this sector is clear to see and we look forward to working closely with the team over the coming months to launch the platform.”

Tanya Pepin, Managing Director and Founder of TWC Group, added: “We are honoured to be chosen as the data partner for Morrisons. Our SmartView platform will provide Morrisons and its suppliers with the robust data insights needed to optimise performance and drive growth. We look forward to a successful partnership.”
