Morrisons Taps Into Hamper Market With Premium Christmas Box

Morrisons is hoping to build on the recent success of its food box service with the launch of a luxury Christmas dinner collection.

The ‘Festive Feast’ box contains 16 items from the chain’s ‘The Best’ premium own label range with enough food to feed a family of four. Items include turkey and all the trimmings, a cheese board and crackers, mince pies and a festive yule log.

However, at £50, the box costs considerably less than the hampers sold by more upmarket retailers such as Fortnum & Masons.

Morrisons has started taking orders for the Christmas dinner box online for it to be delivered between 22-23 December.

The supermarket launched the food box service in March to cater for people isolating at home during the pandemic. The offer has been expanded in recent months with a wide range of pre-prepared boxes to meet specific needs.

Commenting on the festive box, Morrisons Food To Order Director Aidan Buckley said: “We want to take the stress out of Christmas food shopping and give customers the ultimate hassle-free Christmas dinner to enjoy.

“In a difficult year, this is the simplest way to get your Christmas meal.”
