KellyDeli, the Asian food brand that owns Sushi Daily, has launched a new multi-concept food offer – Kelly’s Market – in partnership with Tesco.
With the strapline ‘World Food Made Local’, the in-store food-to-go offer features five concepts: CKN + BAO, Dos Mexicanas, BamTuk, My Little Dim Sum and Little Moons mochi. More than 60 hot & cold menu options are available, from Korean to Mexican to Asian street food.
Prepared on-site by chefs, dishes include dim sum (£2.95), loaded nachos (£5.95), chicken and waffles (£7.26), and hirata bao buns (£4.55).
The first Kelly’s Market opened in Tesco’s Wokingham superstore yesterday, with a further nine pilot outlets to follow in 2023.
Managing director of KellyDeli UK, Ian Roberts, said: “We’re proud to partner with the UK’s biggest retailer, Tesco, to launch Kelly’s Market, pushing the boundaries of hot serve food in-store and bringing a choice of world cuisine to consumers through multiple channels”.
The move comes as Tesco looks to repurpose space in stores vacated by its fresh food counters that are being closed due to changes in consumer shopping habits.
