Suppliers have a new route to present their products to Tesco buyers after the announcement that the UK’s leading grocer has joined RangeMe, the world’s largest product sourcing platform.
Tesco is expected to leverage RangeMe to help buyers scale their product sourcing efforts, with access to over 200,000 suppliers. Buyers can filter searches to find brands and products that meet their sourcing needs, with “seamless connectivity and collaboration” with suppliers. The retailer will also have access to curated collections to help identify and understand category trends and emerging brands.
RangeMe first launched in 2014 and is now used today by over 12,000 retail buyers in Europe, North America, and the Asia Pacific. Having launched in the UK this summer, RangeMe is also now working with buyers at Asda, the Co-op and LloydsPharmacy.
The platform allows suppliers to showcase their ranges to hundreds of retailers, bring new products to market, increase brand visibility, and potentially grow sales.
Nicky Jackson, CEO of RangeMe, commented: “We launched in the UK a few months ago and today Tesco, the largest grocer and supermarket chain in the country, has joined forces with us.
“We welcome them to our community of top retailers from around the world to transform their product sourcing experience. This is also an extraordinary opportunity for British suppliers to showcase their products directly to Tesco buyers and put their best foot forward.”
