Sugro UK, the buying and marketing group, has recruited another new member – SoSweet Online – a speciality confectionery business based in the Southwest of England with retail, wholesale, and online platforms.
The business currently operates 14 SoSweet Stores within the region, aiming to grow to 20 stores by 2025. The business is ranked within the top 10 food sellers on the social media platform TikTok, which has helped accelerate its growth over the last year.
It has also just launched a new delivered wholesale model called ‘SoSweet Direct’, where a team of BDMs/Reps deliver a direct-to-store service across the convenience and speciality channels in the Southwest.
SoSweet Director George Robinson commented: “As a high-volume retail and wholesale business, we rely on strong direct relationships with suppliers to increase our variety and availability across our range.
“Our strong physical presence across the Southwest also presents many opportunities for brand partnerships and activations. We are very excited for a long and fruitful experience within the Sugro group.”
Sugro’s Business Development Manager, Sue Hubber, added: “We are very excited to be working with SoSweet who bring new, exciting, and colourful opportunities to the group. SoSweets’ participation in key growth sectors online, and their coverage of national and regional outlets offers our supplier base new growth avenues. We look forward to being part of So Sweets continued growth and success.”
NAM Implications:
- A useful addition to the Sugro offering.
- And a little extra negotiating muscle perhaps…
