Confex Relaunches Central Distribution Facility

After a short suspension, buying group Confex is relaunching its Central Distribution facility during May for all wholesalers. An extended credit facility will also be offered to those using the service.

The operation offers a mixed pallet drop across FMCG and foodservice suppliers at wholesaler pricing, making it unique to the industry.

James Loffet, Central Distribution director, commented: “We are pleased to be able to relaunch the Central Distribution service. All our suppliers have been very supportive and we look forward to continuing the growth we have experienced during our 12 years of trading.

“The new improved service, offering extended credit along with range extensions, will be key for our customers to help them get back on their feet following Covid-19.”

Confex chairman Martin Williams added: “The Confex Central Distribution service has long been the envy of some of our buying group competitors and we are delighted to resume trading so quickly after the short suspension.”

NAM Implication:
  • A no-brainer, given the importance of the wholesale channel for most FMCG suppliers…
