National wholesaler JJ Foodservice is responding to grocery delivery delays by launching a new home delivery service, offering key household essentials.
The group’s Chief Operating Officer Mushtaque Ahmed said: “With schools closing and many of us required to work from home, having essential products like bottled water, fresh and frozen foods have never been more important. We are here to help.”
Orders placed via its website by 9pm will be delivered the next day with a minimum order value of £79.
The group revealed that local demand across its branches has more than doubled in recent weeks. The wholesaler has responded by extending night shift hours to fulfil orders and increasing the capacity for stock holding at all its warehouses.
