JJ Foodservice Offering Significant Discounts To Customers That Collect Orders

Customers of JJ Foodservice are being offered discounts of up to 30% to collect orders from the wholesaler in a bid to reduce pressure on its HGV drivers given the current shortage.

JJ’s customers who currently order and pay online for collection usually pay up to 15% less than the delivery price. However, the ‘Collect & Save’ promotion will see the discount increase to 30% when five cases or more are purchased on selected products.

The campaign kicked off with Diet Coke priced at just £5.99 for 24x330ml when bought under the ‘Collect & Save’ terms. This compares with £7.49 for less than five cases for collection or £8.79 for delivery.

New products will be promoted every week.

“With the UK market currently short on HGV drivers and new customers coming to us weekly, we need to make sure we have the support in place to maintain our high service levels,” said JJ’s Chief Product Officer, Sezer Ozkul.

“Promoting Collect & Save will help to remind our customers that they can make fantastic savings when they buy in bulk, for collection.”

The government announced yesterday that it will temporarily relax rules that govern how long lorry drivers can work amid growing concerns that the current shortage will severely impact the distribution of food and other goods in the coming months.
