Darren Goldney will take on the role of Commercial Director at fast-growing FMCG wholesaler Pricecheck in May.
As previously announced, he is due to leave his position of Managing Director at Unitas Wholesale later this month.
Goldney has a wealth of industry experience having led the merger to form Unitas after joining the Today’s Group in 2017. He had previously worked for Coca-Cola Enterprises for more than 20 years, followed by short stints as Commercial Director at Whitworths and Palmer & Harvey.
Pricecheck stated that the hiring for the newly created role marked the start of its next phase of growth as it aims to achieve a £200m turnover within the next five years.

At Unitas, Goldney has been succeeded by John Kinney. The buying group also recently appointed industry veteran Mark Aylwin as its first non-member Chairman.
