Sugro UK, the buying and marketing co-operative of over 80 independent wholesalers, has secured a new member, ICS UK LTD, adding £120m to its existing combined buying power of £1.7bn.
Bradford-based ICS has a wide customer base specialising in catering and packaging products. They are established in the field of ambient, frozen and refrigerated products and have joined Sugro UK to lean on their expertise within the grocery, impulse and catering categories.
Usamah Bhamji, Operations Manager of ICS UK LTD, noted that it had joined Sugro UK to “work collaboratively with others in the industry to keep our product pricing competitive by streamlining our procurement process”.
Imran Ambalia, Trading and Marketing Controller for Sugro UK, added: “ICS UK LTD are a fantastic foodservice wholesale business who have developed a great reputation amongst their customers of supplying quality products at competitive prices.
